- Fixed the pathfinding! Turns out if you give an object a Speed variable GMS with no direction will just make them run to the right.
- New enemy type! The experimentally named 'Sixty Sickle' enemy will pursue the player relentlessly to slash at them with a scythe. This started as a way to fix the pathfinding, seeing if the issue was strafing or pursuit (turns out neither, see above) but I decided having a melee focused enemy would be fun. He telegraphs his attack by flipping upside down a half-second before he slashes. Try to catch it with Royalguard if you think your dick's big enough!
In future update:
- Music/Sound
- Building an actual map
- A main menu for easy load/save of Replays
- Add a 'weakspot' exploit for enemies such as the Sickle. I'd like to make it so that if you shoot him in the face right as he slashes he's staggered and you can do big damage.
- Making the Style Rankings actually work.
- Edit: Forcing you to stop moving while firing, as well as a slight reload timer. While ammo will still be infinite, as it is you have basically no reason not to just mash fire all the time. In Doom this is balanced with ammo scarcity, but in DMC its balanced by having the gun be not good and your attacks having 'lag'. So, perhaps you'll have to stop moving to fire, but can move while reloading? Will experiment with.
